Ventilated battens are used to form a cavity, allowing the free flow of air and moisture and assisting with effective ventilation of a roof cavity. Their cellular construction is nonconductive, capillary action resistant, and dimensionally stable, and assists with reducing thermal bridging. Available in 11 and 18mm thicknesses. Made from tough, non-absorbent polypropylene, and with a self-adhesive strip.They are not suitable for use as structural battens. Use as a componant of the Masons Passive Roof Ventilation System.
