Product Description
Prolam PLX20 is a steel-reinforced glulam beam, manufactured in New Zealand from Pinus radiata to AS/NZS 1328. Precision-engineered with steel laminated into the top and bottom laminates for extra strength and stiffness, PLX20 allows a smaller member to span further than equivalent solid or standard glulam beams. Independently tested to ensure structural performance and dimensional stability. A direct replacement for manufactured flitch beams. Can be cut to length on site using standard carpentry tools.

240×90 mm (PLX20-250100) and 290×90 mm (PLX20-300100).
Lengths
3.6, 4.2, 4.8, 5.4, 6.0, 6.6 m. Precamber: 600 m radius.
Treatment
H1.2 KD — interior use only. Not for exterior use. Treated to NZS 3640. Meets NZBC B2 50-year durability within the building envelope.
Applications
Garage door lintels, general lintels, ridge beams, floor beams, and rafters.
