Product Description

For use with exterior in-ground applications such as verandas, carports and supporting decks or roofs.

Manufactured to AS/NZS1328:1998, AS5068:2006

Sizing: 88 x 88, 112 x 112, 135 x 135 and 180 x 180mm

Lengths:

88, 112 and 135mm from 2.4m to 6m.
180mm available in 3.6m and 4.2m.

Construction: Top, bottom and core are made of finger-jointed lamina

Treatment: Micronised Copper Azole (MCA) H5 treated in accordance with NZS3640:2003.

Scope of Use

IBuilt™ H5 GL8 posts by Taranakipine are structural glue-laminated posts manufactured from H5 MCA-treated, NZ-grown Pinus radiata finger-jointed lamina. They are available in a range of dimensions and lengths.

Scope	Limitations
Designed and installed in accordance with NZS 3604:2011 or specifically engineered to NZS 3603:1993 or NZS AS 1328.1:1998.	Use Section 4 of NZS 3604:2011 to select structural brackets, subject to NZS 3604:2011 exposure zones. Post dimensions (width and thickness) must not be altered in a way that reduces their structural stability.
In above-ground applications	The post must be attached to a structural bracket capable of resisting all applied loads.
In below-ground applications	Posts installed below ground must have their in-ground portion sealed. They must be seated on a 100 mm punch pad and fully encased in concrete with a minimum 100 mm side cover

The product will, if employed in accordance with the supplier's installation and maintenance requirements, assist with meeting the following provisions of the building code:
