Spider P self adhered bitumen membrane is a fully peel and stick waterproofing option , BRANZ appraised for roofing , balconys , gutters and parapet applications .The system is installed in 2 layers , firstly the base sheet , then the mineral chip cap sheet. Similar method of application to traditional torch on membranes without any torch or flame. Zero Fire Risk.

New Zealand Building Code (NZBC)
The product will, if employed in accordance with the supplier's installation and maintenance requirements, assist with meeting the following provisions of the building code:
- Clause B2 Durability: Performance B2.3.1(b)
- Clause E2 External moisture: Performance E2.3.1, E2.3.2
- Clause F2 Hazardous building materials: Performance F2.3.1
Design requirements
Spider P roof and deck membranes have been appraised as roof and deck membranes on buildings with
- Plywood & suspended concrete slab
- Minimum falls for a roof 1:30
- Minimum falls for decks 1:40
- Wind Zones including extra high NZS 3604
Spider P is a fully bonded , double layer system - self adhesive.
Spider P membrane system is UV stable , but requires protection if installed on a balcony with a timber raft or tile pedestal system.
Installation requirements
Installation must be completed by Mapei NZ ltd applicators only.
The installation of any substrate must be completed by a competent trades person. Mapei NZ Ltd technical literature must be followed at all times.
Maintenance requirements
The membrane system must be checked regularly (at least annually) checked for damage rubbish & debris.
Special care must be taken to ensure all inspections are recorded on the Care and Maintenance document, required by Mapei NZ ltd.
All remedial repairs must be completed by a Mapei NZ ltd registered applicator.
Warrantees
A Durability Warranty of 20 years will be given to all registered projects, completed by a Licensed LBP roofer, approved by Mapei NZ ltd.
- 20 Years Durability - provided they are designed, used and installed and maintained in accordance to Mapei NZ ltd technical literature.
