Scope of use
CS AutoCav Cavity Slider units are suitable for use in internal locations in residential, commercial and light industrial buildings.
New Zealand Building Code (NZBC)
The product will, if employed in accordance with the supplier's installation and maintenance requirements, assist with meeting the following provisions of the building code:
- Clause B1 Structure: Performance B1.3.1, B1.3.2, B1.3.3, B1.3.3(a), B1.3.3(f), B1.3.3(h), B1.3.3(j), B1.3.4
Performance B1.3.1, B1.3.2 and B1.3.4. CS Cavity Sliders meet the requirements for loads arising from self-weight, earthquake, wind and impact [i.e. B1.3.3 (a), (f), (h) and (j)]. See Paragraphs 8.1–8.3.
- Clause B2 Durability: Performance B2.3.1, B2.3.1(c)
Performance B2.3.1 (a) not less than 50 years, (b) 15 years and (c) 5 years. CS Cavity Sliders meet these requirements. See Paragraphs 9.1–9.3.

Use in Service History
CS Automatic Units have been successfully used in commercial, residential and institutional projects in New Zealand and Australia since 1991. CS Automatic Units are backed by a 5 Year Written Guarantee.
Product Criteria
Design requirements
Jamb type & finish:
- Timber flat, timber grooved, in pine or nominated species
- AluSealed aluminium grooved jambs
Can be specified with almost any choice of door, including aluminium doors from the CaviDoor range.
Door carrying capacity 200kg.
Installation requirements
Lintels over the full trim size (opening and pocket) should be sized to ensure that no load is applied to the door assembly. Lintels to NZS3604 are acceptable for door weights up to 75kg per metre width of door. Specific design required when the door weight exceeds 75kg per metre.
Nominate which side of the cavity pocket the maintenance access panel will be situated.
Maintenance requirements
Refer to CS Cavity Sliders instructions for preparation and finishing of the door opening and final door installation.
Regular maintenance checks should be carried out in accordance wth the instructions on the operation manual supplied with the unit. Any service requirements should be referred to one of our branches
Warrantees
5 year warranty applies to CS Automatic Units. (12 months on electronic components).
Door leaves carry the warranty of the original manufacturer.
