Compliance Statement
Scope of Use
The 491E system must be used within the limitations specified by Inpro for the particular product configuration.
- The nominal structural joint width must be confirmed against the approved construction documentation and Inpro product data before manufacture or installation.
- The surrounding substrate must be structurally adequate to support the expansion joint system and its fixings.
- The system must be installed onto a level and suitable substrate in accordance with Inpro's installation requirements.
- The 491E architectural joint cover does not determine the required structural seismic gap. Structural joint width and movement requirements remain the responsibility of the project structural designer.
- The required movement range must be established by the project structural engineer or other suitably qualified project designer.
New Zealand Building Code (NZBC)
The product will, if employed in accordance with the supplier's installation and maintenance requirements, assist with meeting the following provisions of the building code:

Notes
When correctly selected and installed, the 491E system permits movement across the structural expansion/seismic joint within the movement capability stated by Inpro. The 491E system is not a structural element and must not be relied upon to transfer primary structural loads between the separated building elements.
The 491E system incorporates exterior-grade components including aluminium sections, stainless-steel components, rubber gaskets, reinforced moisture/vapour barrier and neoprene weather washers. The project designer must determine whether the system, finish, fasteners and associated waterproofing components are appropriate for the required durability period and exposure conditions.
