FIRESTOP Ultra Sealant is designed for use in fire-rated walls, floors, and ceilings where joints, gaps, or service penetrations require fire, smoke, and weather sealing. Suitable for indoor and outdoor applications, the sealant is used around cables, metal pipes, metal ductwork, and linear gaps in construction types including concrete, masonry, and plasterboard. Tested and assessed to AS 1530.4:2014 and AS 4072.1:2005, the water-based acrylic formulation provides excellent adhesion, flexibility, and non-slump performance, accommodating joint movement up to 20%. When exposed to fire, the sealant expands to form an intumescent barrier that helps prevent the spread of fire and smoke. UV and weather resistant, FIRESTOP Ultra Sealant is suitable for exposed environments and can be overpainted with water-based paints.

FIRESTOP Ultra Sealant should be used for applications in fire-rated walls and floors where protection against the spread of fire, smoke, and sound through joints and service penetrations is required. The product must be installed in accordance with the relevant tested and assessed systems to AS 1530.4:2014 and AS 4072.1:2005. Suitable substrates include concrete, masonry, gypsum and steel construction materials. FIRESTOP Ultra Sealant is suitable for linear joints, gaps around service penetrations, and applications used in conjunction with Protecta FR Board and FIRESTOP Duct Wrap systems.

Products must not be modified in any way that may compromise performance. All fire-rated service penetrations must be labelled in accordance with AS 4072.1:2005.
FIRESTOP products should be stored in a clean, dry location and kept in their original packaging prior to installation.
FIRESTOP products have no specific maintenance requirements. Damaged products should be repaired or replaced to maintain the required FRR of the fire-rated system.
