Protecta Protecta FR Putty Pad is designed for use in fire-rated gypsum wall systems where electrical switches, socket outlets, or similar services penetrate the wall lining and compromise the fire resistance of the partition. Assessed to AS1530.4:2014 and AS4072.1:2005, the non-setting putty pad reinstates the fire and acoustic performance of the wall for up to 2 hours, depending on the wall construction. Designed for interior use only, the system helps prevent the passage of fire, smoke, sound, and air leakage through service openings. FR Putty Pad may be installed internally or externally to the socket or wall box and is suitable for new construction, retrofit, and maintenance applications.
