Product Description
The CaviSlider range offers high-quality cavity sliding door systems, available in standard sizes or custom-made to order. The CS Cavity Slider is engineered to meet most of your interior sliding door needs. Continuously improved since its original design in 1986, it features various detail options for customisation, allowing you to create a specific look or unique solution. Beyond its space-saving benefits in bathrooms, hallways, and laundries, the CS Cavity Slider can confidently be used as an architectural feature in any project. Special sizes, timbers and profiles are available on request (grooved jambs are mitred). Supplied fully assembled, with or without a door fitted.
- Patented cavity frame is fully tested and guaranteed. It is engineered from high quality heavy duty extruded aluminium.
- Door and carriages can be removed without removing wall linings.
- Available as Single or Bi-Parting (double) units.

Scope of use
CS Cavity Sliders units have been appraised for use with sliding doors
in internal locations in residential, commercial and light industrial
buildings.
New Zealand Building Code (NZBC)
The product will, if employed in accordance with the supplier's installation and maintenance requirements, assist with meeting the following provisions of the building code:
- Clause B1 Structure: Performance B1.3.1, B1.3.2, B1.3.3(a), B1.3.3(f), B1.3.3(h), B1.3.3(j), B1.3.4, B1.3.4(a), B1.3.4(b), B1.3.4(c), B1.3.4(d), B1.3.4(e)

Use in Service History
CS Cavity Sliders have been successfully used in commercial, residential and institutional projects in New Zealand and Australia since 1986. CS Cavity Sliders are backed by a 10 Year Written Guarantee.
Product Criteria
Design requirements
Refer to the CS Product Guide for design parameters. Units can be supplied with timber
jambs or prefinished powdercoated aluminium jambs in a variety of colours.
CS Cavity Sliders are
designed to fit standard stud walls (nominally 100 mm). Options are also
available for 70 mm, 94 mm and 140 mm stud walls. An intermediate stud is
included in the framing for stability in all units for doors wider than 920 mm.
Accessible cavity sliders require a
minimum door width of 910 mm.
Special
sizes, timbers and profiles are available on request.
CS Cavity Sliders can be specified with almost
any choice of door, including the aluminium CaviDoor range. Door carrying capacity: 120kg using standard 2-wheel carriages. 4-wheel carriages are supplied for
heavier doors.
Installation requirements
CS Cavity Sliders must be installed in accordance with the
manufacturer's installation instructions. Lintels over the full trim size
(opening and pocket) should be sized to ensure that no load is applied to
the door assembly. Lintels to NZS3604 are acceptable for door weights up to
75kg per metre width of door. Specific design required when the door
weight exceeds 75kg per metre.
Track must be fitted level and straight and fixed at maximum 600mm
centres to the lintel.
Refer to installation instructions for preparation and
finishing of the door opening and final door installation.
Maintenance requirements
Refer to instructions on powder coated aluminium
product maintenance.
Under normal circumstances, CS Cavity Sliders require no maintenance.
In high use situations, the carriages will eventually need replacing.
Replacement carriages and instructions on replacement are available from Cavity Sliders.

CS Cavity Sliders products are made in New Zealand.
CS Cavity Sliders operates a
zero waste policy with all metal offcuts and waste recycled. Timber components
are made from pine from sustainable resources.
