Product Criteria

Design requirements

• Hallmark Cavity Sliders are for interior use.
• This product is not suitable for use in saunas, steam rooms, smoke houses etc.
• This product is not fire rated.

Hallmark Cavity Sliders are designed for, but is not limited to, use in projects within the following scope:   

• Housing and residential apartment buildings, and their associated ancillary and outbuildings - interior use.
• Commercial buildings, and their associated ancillary and outbuildings - interior use  

Hallmark Cavity Sliders may be used in projects outside this scope if other parties such as architects or specifiers establish appropriate design and installation requirements.

Installation requirements

• Inspect Cavity Slider units and doors for freight damage and defects. Hallmark must be notified within 4 days if damage has occurred.
• Cavity Slider units and doors must be installed in dry buildings only. When installed in situations with excessive air movement (i.e. buildings not at ‘lock up’ stage) warranty is voided. Interior doors must not be installed within the direct air movement of an air temperature controller.
• Warp exceeding 5mm is considered a defect on doors up to 2400x910mm. Doors exceeding this size carry no guarantee against warp. Hallmark accepts no responsibility for defective doors when the moisture content of the timber exceeds 18%.
• Install the door in accordance with the consented or design drawings. Ensure doors are installed plumb, level, and in plane, within the tolerances set out in the MBIE Guide to materials, tolerances, and workmanship in residential construction.

Maintenance requirements

• The track system – head track and wheel carriage units - and other hardware should be checked annually for proper operation and to ensure fixings remain tight.
• Doors installed in bathrooms or laundries that become scratched or damaged are to have the coating repaired immediately. Any repair work must be carried out under the instructions of the coating manufacturer.
