Product Description

Hallmark Double Stacking Cavity Sliders (sometimes referred to as overtaking sliders) are twin doors which slide in the same direction. Either Classic or CavZero track systems can be used.

JAMB: Timber Grooved, Timber Architrave, Aluminium Architrave, Aluminium Concealed Jamb

FINISHING: Standard Height or Flush Ceiling

DOOR LEAF: Paint Quality, Grooved, Veneer, and Timber or Aluminium Framed Glazed options available

SIZES:

Doors 1980-2600mm high x 1211-1600mm wide to be 37mm thick
Doors 2601-3600mm high x 1601-2400mm wide to be 42mm thick
Cavity Slider Doors 2701-3600mm high x 1801-2400mm wide require 140mm stud cavity pockets
Cavity Slider Doors 2701-3600mm high x 1801-2400mm wide must have opening jambs set back 10mm from each face on each side of the cavity pocket opening

Scope of Use

Hallmark Cavity Sliders are designed for, but is not limited to, use in projects within the following scope:

Housing and residential apartment buildings, and their associated ancillary and outbuildings - interior use.
Commercial buildings, and their associated ancillary and outbuildings - interior use

Hallmark Cavity Sliders may be used in projects outside this scope if other parties such as architects or specifiers establish appropriate design and installation requirements.

New Zealand Building Code (NZBC)

The product will, if employed in accordance with the supplier's installation and maintenance requirements, assist with meeting the following provisions of the building code:

Clause B2 Durability: Performance B2.3.1(b)
Hallmark Cavity Sliders have a durability beyond 15 years when correctly installed and maintained, based on historical in-market use.
Clause D1 Access routes: Performance D1.3.1(b), D1.3.1(c), D1.3.4(f)
Hallmark Cavity Sliders can be used within as accessible route where design consideration is given to compliance to NZBC D1/AS1, paragraph 7.0. Doors to be installed with door handles that meet the requirements of NZBC D1/AS1 clause 7.0.5. The selection of hardware to meet these requirements is not the responsibility of Hallmark Group.
Clause F2 Hazardous building materials: Performance F2.3.2, F2.3.3
Hallmark Cavity Sliders and Doors are manufactured using inert, nontoxic materials. If required, Hallmark Door vision panel glazing complies with NZS 4223.3.

Hallmark Cavity Sliders are for interior use.
This product is not suitable for use in saunas, steam rooms, smoke houses etc. This product is not fire rated. See www.hallmarkgroup.co.nz/fire-doors for Hallmark fire rated doors.
Hallmark Cavity Sliders are designed for, but is not limited to, use in projects within the following scope:

Installation requirements

Inspect Cavity Slider units and doors for freight damage and defects. Hallmark must be notified within 4 days if damage has occurred.
Cavity Slider units and doors must be installed in dry buildings only. When installed in situations with excessive air movement (i.e. buildings not at ‘lock up’ stage) warranty is voided. Interior doors must not be installed within the direct air movement of an air temperature controller.
Warp exceeding 5mm is considered a defect on doors up to 2400x910mm. Doors exceeding this size carry no guarantee against warp. Hallmark accepts no responsibility for defective doors when the moisture content of the timber exceeds 18%.
Install the door in accordance with the consented or design drawings. Ensure doors are installed plumb, level, and in plane, within the tolerances set out in the MBIE Guide to materials, tolerances, and workmanship in residential construction.

Maintenance requirements

The track system – head track and wheel carriage units - and other hardware should be checked annually for proper operation and to ensure fixings remain tight.
Doors installed in bathrooms or laundries that become scratched or damaged are to have the coating repaired immediately. Any repair work must be carried out under the instructions of the coating manufacturer.
