Product Criteria
Design requirements
Cemher Microrock Microcement is suited to applications across floors, stairs and wet-areas.
Available in a curated colour range; all top coats are pre-tinted by The Finish. Custom colour matching is available.
System total thickness is 3–4mm - allow for this height allowance in floor build-ups.
Suitable for use with underfloor heating and over existing tiles. Wheeled furniture is suitable.
Do not use as a crack filler or to fill significant holes, gaps, or joins.
Expansion joints must be respected and not filled completely.
Sample boards are recommended by the applicator prior to final colour selection, as tonal variation is natural to the system.

Installation requirements
Cemher Microrock must be installed by a Cemher Certified Applicator in accordance with the Cemher Microrock Technical Data Sheet.
Substrate must be clean, dry, stable, and free from contaminants, with moisture content below 5% and a minimum compressive strength of 25N/mm².
Minimum application temperature 12°C.
Substrates include plasterboard (Level 4 finish required), Hardies, fibre cement board, render, painted surfaces, MDF, concrete and tiles (Hybrid system).
In wet areas, a compliant waterproofing membrane must be applied prior to microcement and must meet NZ standards. Cemher is compatible with Ardex WPM155 system.
Allow minimum 7 days cure before use, water exposure, or foot traffic. Full hardness achieved at 30 days.
Maintenance requirements
Do not wet or clean the surface for 7 days post-installation.
Avoid cleaning products for the first 14 days. Clean routinely with water and a pH-neutral product using a damp cloth.
Avoid acid-based, ammonia, chlorine, bleach, or abrasive cleaners. Do not allow water, food, or chemicals to sit on the surface for more than one hour.
Do not place hot objects directly on microcement - use heat-resistant mats. Lift rather than drag furniture; use protective pads under furniture legs. Prevent exposure to grit and abrasive particles.
The protective sealer is subject to normal wear and requires periodic reapplication - estimated every 2–4 years depending on use. Resealing must be carried out by a Cemher Certified Applicator using only Cemher-branded sealers; use of other products will void the warranty.
Regularly inspect the surface to assess sealer condition.
Compliance with these requirements is necessary to maintain the Cemher 10-year manufacturer's warranty.
Warrantees
Cemher Microrock is backed by a 10-year limited warranty, issued by The Finish Limited and governed by New Zealand law.
The warranty covers manufacturing defects resulting in delamination from a properly prepared substrate, or water penetration through the fully cured and sealed system.
Valid only when installed by a Cemher New Zealand Certified applicator, in accordance with current technical documentation, and where Cemher's maintenance and care guidelines are followed by the property owner.
