Scope of Use
FIRESTOP HK-100 is a fire-rated intumescent insert designed for
firestopping electric cable penetrations through fire-rated plasterboard walls
and ceilings, as well as 16 mm PEX pipe penetrations through fire-rated plasterboard
walls. Available in HK-100/14 and HK-100/20, the insert provides a neat, flush
finish and allows cables to be added, removed or repositioned after
installation. FIRESTOP HK-100 has been fire tested in New Zealand at an
accredited laboratory in accordance with AS 1530.4:2014 and AS 4072.1:2005, in
conjunction with FIRESTOP Ultra sealant. It is suitable for single cables and
cable bundles up to 20 mm in diameter, including tested TPS, Fire Alarm and
CAT6 cables.
